What the Future of Salons Looks Like

As community salon chairs continue being vacant, owners are adapting to the wants of the modern-day weather to properly reopen amid the COVID-19 outbreak—and when that day arrives, purchasers will have a new knowledge.

Since shuttering their doorways in March, hair gods David Wagner (Juut Salon Spa), Erin Zosel (Sloane’s Elegance Bar), Jon Charles (Jon Charles Salon), and Jessica Reipke and Charlie Brackney Love (HAUS Salon) have been planning for the long run.

All noted that they truly feel far more than prepared to properly reopen when Gov. Tim Walz’ Stay at Home purchase has been lifted. 

“We’re now licensed in sanitation and infectious sickness and have the baseline of expectations,” says Sloane’s Elegance Bar operator Erin Zosel. Zosel also reported that just about her whole crew of independent contractors are prepared to slowly and gradually transition back to function. For now, she’s planning to partly reopen her two salons
