Fashion designer Satya Paul passes away at 79 in Coimbatore, Sadhguru pays tribute

The world woke up to a grim Thursday after the news of fashion designer Satya Paul’s death broke.

According to a Times of India (TOI) report, founder of the eponymous fashion clothing brand passed away in Coimbatore on January 6. Cause of death was not reported.

Paul was hospitalised in December after suffering a stroke. Following a brief period of recovery, he was moved to the Isha Yoga Center near Coimbatore, founded by spiritual leader Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev.

Sadhguru took to Twitter to pay a special tribute to the entrepreneur. He called Paul’s life a shining example of ‘immeasurable passion’ and ‘unrelenting involvement’. “The distinct vision you brought to the Indian #fashion industry is a beautiful tribute to this. A privilege to have had you amongst us,” he wrote.
