‘India cannot be satisfied with 10 big textile companies’

NEW DELHI: Textiles minister Smriti Irani has reported that business really should take care of to make sure that India is not a country of occupation personnel but a leader in the textiles sector. Talking at a symposium on emerging chances for Indian textiles and crafts, Irani reported that the time has appear to focus on micro, little and medium enterprises (MSMEs). She reported that the textiles ministry will get in contact with little scale makers, who are assembly exports compliances and shipping and delivery schedules and aid them with finance, legislation, certification, excellent management programmes and analysis and progress to make them leaders in their respective sphere.

The minister appealed to the textiles business to fulfil the intention powering the Key Minister’s announcement of abolition of anti-dumping obligation on PTA (Purified Terephthalic Acid) and Nationwide Mission on Specialized Textiles. Irani also requested the business to meet up with the specifications of Jal Jivan Mission and farmers, apart from focusing on exports.

The symposium was attended by senior officers of the ministries of commerce & business and textiles, representatives of EPCs, purchasing offices and purchasing brokers.
