The Moschino Tumble 2020 exhibit was held in Milan on Thursday night — but designer Jeremy Scott looks to have had Paris on his brain. Soon after asserting previously this 12 months that he was transferring his namesake exhibit from February’s New York Vogue Week to the Metropolis of Lights in July, it is no surprise that a specific French flair took its spot on the runway.

Commencing with the decadently created cake-adorned invitations, followed by a mirrored catwalk, the concept took flight as the exhibit got underneath way. There she was in just about every appear, in just about every updo: Marie Antoinette.

Sky-high hair in shades various from platinum and pastel pink to chestnut, toile-print bustles, gilded denim and abundant velvet jacquard: If the French queen were to move by the doors of Versailles currently, surely this is what she’d be sporting. These appears to be like were, of system, blended amongst Moschino’s signature moto-jacket ease and matching equipment.

What took the cake, though, were the real “cake” attire. There was a pink-and-white off-the-shoulder variety that matched the invite, a white tiered frock with orange flowers excellent for a summer time marriage in the French countryside and the show’s closer: a pristinely white bridal dress that looked very good plenty of to take in. The luggage matched the motif, shaped like cakes, croissants and a quite realistic baguette.

It was cheeky and stylish, and those people on board with Scott’s “let them take in cake” principle were served their just desserts.
