Marley, son of songs legend Bob, introduced yesterday afternoon that he would not by playing the four-day pageant owing to family issues, leaving organisers scrambling for a substitute act.

Immediately after the shock announcement pageant director Ian Scobie quipped that there “probably weren’t quite a few bands in Australia that I will not be calling today”.

Corby, who will fill the exact same stage and timeslot that Marley was scheduled to participate in, has two times claimed the ARIA Award and scored an Australian No. 1 with his debut record.
